Planting Guide: Ideally started indoors, about 6-8 weeks prior to the last seasonal frost, cherry tomatoes can be transplanted about 4 - 6 weeks after the last seasonal frost once the soil temperatures have warmed. From seed, sow 1/4" deep in well-drained, fertilized soil. Full sun. Harden before transplant. Transplant at 2-3" depth, again in well-drained soil with ample spacing to allow for adequate growth - over 18" in either direction. Mulch recommended to maintain moisture. Water weekly. Stakes are recommended for bushier varieties to facilitate growth.
Harvest: 60+ days. Pinch as ripened, best to start at the base of the plant versus the top to encourage more fruit production. Continue to remove ripened fruit to encourage additional yield.
Tip: Sprinkle a bit of lime prior to transplant and use a tomato-based fertilizer to encourage optimum growth.
