Buttercrunch Lettuce plant has thick and fleshy leaves with a round core. Leaves are expanded and heavy. The seeds are white. The plant is suitable for spring and autumn growing.

Quantity

Buttercrunch lettuce... Can you say that again? It tastes as sinful as it sounds - buttery with a healthy crunch - that is my kind of garden green!

When: End of May/early June once danger of frost is gone.

Planting Guide: Lightly broadcast the seed just beneath the soil surface - about 1/8" deep, rows a little over 1' apart. Partial shade.

Harvesting: 55-60 days on average, however leaves can be trimmed from the outer edges as the plant matures. If cut properly, the plant will continue to reproduce new leaves.

Water: Needs to be just right - not to damp and not too dry.1" per week relative to precipitation should do it.

Friendly Neighbours: Chives and garlic help ward off unwanted pests. My mouth is drooling thinking about this buttery goodness... How's yours?
