Fennel Romanesco: has big round bulbs weighing between 500g and a massive1kg. It has a high bolting resistance and is best grown for late cropping.

A sweet and aromatic traditional italian herb describes fennel romanesco best.

Planting Guide: Once the last seasonal frost has passed, direct sow in fine, well drained soil. Sow 1/2" deep, 10"-12" apart in rows 18" apart. Full sun. Fertilizer recommended. Water regularly.

Harvest: About 80-90 days. Leaves can be harvested at any time, however the bulb is not ideal for cutting until it is about 2.5" in diameter.

Friendly Neighbours: Not many... This is actually best kept out of the vegetable garden as it tends to attract many unwanted pests. If necessary, carrots will generally thrive nearby.

Tip: Pull one, skip one to allow for larger yield on bulbs remaining.
