Reference: V-ROMAINELETTUCE
Crisp, juicy and oh, so sweet - romaine is a popular variety amidst most salad connoisseurs.
Planting Guide: Can be started indoors for transplant or directly sown outdoors once the soil can be worked (romaine is a bit more cold hardy). Sow just beneath the soil surface and lightly cover, spaced about 10-12" apart in rows about 18" apart or more. Full sun to partial shade. Water regularly. Nitrogen rich fertilizer recommended for ideal growth. Ideal for succession planting for continuous yield.
Harvest: 70-80 days. Leaves can be trimmed (will regrow) or head cut at the base.
Friendly Neighbours: Eggplant, carrots and asparagus to name a few!
