Perpetual Spinach Swiss Chard: belongs to the same species as chard and beets, but it has distinctive differences. The taste is more like a true spinach than ordinary chard, and the leaves look like spinach too—flatter and more pointed than chard, with slimmer stems.

An unsuspected member of the Chard Family, this crop actually tastes a bit more like a spinach and is a fan of cooler temperatures.

Planting Guide: Sow 1/2" deep, in moist soil, spaced 2-3" apart in rows about 18" apart. Partial sun/Full shade. Ideal for planting in early spring or late fall as this is a cool temperature crop. This plant does best in moist soil, so be sure to water regularly.

Harvest: Full maturity at about 50 days, however, leaves can be trimmed and will continue to produce if trimmed regularly.

Tip: Leaves larger than 10" will not taste good - so be sure to trim them before they get too long.
