Reference: V-ZUCCHINIROUND
Zucchini is a fantastic garden staple - it can be steamed, grilled, fried or even baked. This squash grows round versus the longer shaped variety and also grows in a bush rather than on a vine.
Planting Guide: Sow after the last seasonal frost, once the soil is warm - over 20 degrees celsius - in late May or early June. Sow 1/2" deep, 6"-8" apart, in rows about 24"-36" apart in well-drained soil. Full sun. Water regularly.
Harvest: 40-65 days - pick as ripened to encourage additional production.
Friendly Neighbours: Zucchini is great next to corn, but not so next to potatoes.
