Tendergreen Mustard: has smooth leaves and makes a fine spinach substitute, especially in the fall. Seeds germinate and grow quickly in late summer heat and mature to tender sweetness in cool weather. Thinings are delicious as fresh snacks or in salads. Heat and drought resistant.

Great for planting early or late in season, this is a nice substitute for spinach in the garden.

Planting Guide: Sow as soon as the soil can be worked in early spring or late summer for a fall harvest. Sow 1/2" deep, 14" apart, in rows about 24" apart in fine, well drained soil. Full sun. Water regularly. Mulch recommended to maintain moisture and cool soil. Ideal for succession planting.

Harvest: About 45 days, although outer leaves can be trimmed once they are over 6" in length. Stop trimming once the plant flowers and cut at the base. Flowers are edible. Enjoy!

Tip: Do not plant in a space where cabbage plants pre-existed.
