Sorrel: is a perennial herbaceous plant in the family Polygonaceae. Other names for sorrel include spinach dock and narrow-leaved dock. Sorrel is a common plant in grassland habitats and is often cultivated as a leaf vegetable or herb.

Sorrel is the perfect combination of leafy green tanginess and a great addition to a traditional salad! A cold hardy crop it is ideal for early season sowing.

Planting Guide: Direct sow 1/2" deep in worked, well drained soil 2-3 weeks before the last seasonal frost. Space 10-12" apart in rows 18-24" apart. Compost recommended. Full Sun. Keep soil moist but not over watered.

Harvest: Approximately 60 days - cut leaves that are about 4-5" long for optimal taste. Remove flower buds to prevent blossoming to yield continued production.

Friendly Neighbours: Strawberries and Sorrel are long time besties and do best in the garden together.
