An unsuspected member of the Chard Family, this crop actually tastes a bit more like a spinach and is a fan of cooler temperatures.
Planting Guide: Sow 1/2" deep, in moist soil, spaced 2-3" apart in rows about 18" apart. Partial sun/Full shade. Ideal for planting in early spring or late fall as this is a cool temperature crop. This plant does best in moist soil, so be sure to water regularly.
Harvest: Full maturity at about 50 days, however, leaves can be trimmed and will continue to produce if trimmed regularly.
Tip: Leaves larger than 10" will not taste good - so be sure to trim them before they get too long.
