Chinese Celery: grows in a rosette stemming from the base of its roots. Fragrant, this ancient Asian vegetable-herb has hollow, thin crispy stems and delicate wispy leaves.

Chinese Celery, also known as Kintsai in its native language, is the celery that one might enjoy in Chinese cuisine.

Planting Guide: Can be sown in pots if so desired or directly into the ground. Can also be started 5-6 weeks before the last frost and subsequently transplanted. Planting outdoors should happen in late May. Sow to the surface into well-drained soil about 10" apart in rows about 12" apart. Partial sun. Mulch recommended.

Harvest: Germination happens in 2-3 weeks and can be harvested in 5-6 weeks. Harvest can include leaves and/or stalks. This celery is both tender and delicious!
