Cucumber Pioneer: plant produces high yields of 3 to 6" long dark green cucumbers. Crunchy flesh makes it great for making pickles.

 

Fantastic for eating and moreso for pickling, pioneer cucumbers are a great addition to the garden. Vine. Ideal for succession planting.

 

Planting Guide: Sow in groups of 4-6, 1" deep, about 3 inches apart. Each group should be about 2' apart. Sow after the last seasonal frost in warm soil. Water regularly. Trellis' can be used for support but is not required. Direct sow is recommended versus transplant. Vines can grow about to 6 ft.

 

Harvest: About 50 days when cucumbers are about 3" long and about 1" thick.

 

Tip: Nearby pollinators will help to support a healthy harvest.
