The 'rosette' of chicory, this cold-sustaining plant forms a lettuce-like head and is known for its preserving qualities and great flavour.
When: After the danger of frost is gone, Mid to late May typically, but can be planted in late summer for a fall harvest, or fall for a spring harvest due to its cold-weather hardiness.
Planting Guide: Sow 1/2" deep beneath the soil surface, about 1' apart in rows about 2' apart. Partial shade.
