Red kidney beans are full of vitamins, antioxidants and loaded with fibre - why would you not want them in the garden?
Planting Guide: Sow 1-2" deep, about 4-6" apart in rows 24" apart, in moist, well drained soil well after the danger of frost has dissipated and soil temperatures have warmed. Full sun. Not ideal for transplanting. Trellis or pole may be required required for support. Water regularly at the base to keep the soil moist, but do not over-water. Stop watering once pods begin to dry. Mulch recommended to assist in water retention. Avoid handling when plant is wet.
Harvest: About 100-140 days - once you notice the pods turn yellow brown in colour, the plant is ready to be harvested. Remove the entire plant and hang upside down in a dry location. Once beans have completed dried, they are ready to be stored.
