Liking the cooler temperatures, this leafy green/red lettuce has a buttery flavour and is the 'prize' of the crop.
Planting Guide: Sow 1/2" beneath the soil surface, 6" apart in rows 18" apart - after the danger of frost has dissipated. Partial sun to full shade. Ideal for succession planting. Water regularly. Ensure soil is well drained. Will bolt in warmer temperatures (causing leaves to taste bitter).
Harvest: About 50 days, cut the plant at the base or trim leaves as required. Be careful to prevent bolting which occurs in warmer temperatures.
