A beautiful ornamental and extremely heat tollerant, red malabar spinach is a welcomed garden addition. Vine plant. It's leaves are great in salads, smoothies or stir fries. Grows as an annual in Canada due to the cooler temperatures.
Planting Guide: Can be started inside, a few weeks prior to the last seasonal frost or directly sown a few weeks after the last seasonal frost and soil has warmed. If starting indoors, harden before transplant. Sow 1/2" deep, in moist, well drained soil, about 10" apart. Full sun. Fertilizer recommended. Trellis required.
Harvest: About 70 days although leaves can be trimmed as required.
